Registered doctors, nurses, and mental health professionals can apply to have their channels verified for these features.
Applicants must hold a valid healthcare license, adhere to global best practices for health information sharing, and maintain a channel in good standing on YouTube.
Once approved, their content will gain enhanced visibility through health panels and content shelves.
To address India’s linguistic diversity, YouTube is expanding health content coverage to include over 140 medical conditions across multiple languages such as Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, Bengali, Malayalam, Punjabi, and English.
The platform has also introduced a multi-language audio feature, enabling users to switch between languages for a more inclusive experience.
