Yashoda Super Speciality Hospital, in partnership with Medtronic, has organized a two-day Manometry Clinical Immersion Program on December 21–22, 2024.

The initiative aimed to enhance the proficiency of gastroenterologists and endoscopy technicians in advanced endoscopic manometry techniques for diagnosing and managing motility disorders.

Additionally, the program’s agenda featured introductions to advanced technologies, such as the Manoscan system and its software, and focused on building skills for endoscopic procedures.

The program witnessed participation from 15 gastroenterologists and 17 endoscopy technicians across Delhi-NCR. Designed as a comprehensive training workshop, it covered advanced diagnostic tools such as High-Resolution GI Manometry (HRM) and emphasized interpreting results based on the Chicago and London Classifications.

The workshop included live demonstrations, hands-on practice, and interactive discussions, ensuring a practical learning experience for the attendees.

Speaking about the event, Dr. P N Arora, CMD of Yashoda Super Speciality Hospitals, said, “We are delighted with our collaboration with Medtronic for the Manometry Clinical Immersion Program. This partnership underscores our commitment to empowering healthcare professionals with cutting-edge knowledge and skills in endoscopic manometry. At Yashoda Hospital, we are dedicated to driving innovation and excellence in medical education. By equipping gastroenterologists and technicians with advanced training, we aim to elevate the standards of patient care and make a meaningful impact on the health outcomes across the region.”

Led by expert gastroenterologists, including Dr Kunal Das, Dr Sandip Shah, Dr. Harit Kothari, and Mr Rajeev Yadav, the program provided in-depth insights into procedural protocols for oesophagal and anorectal manometry.

It emphasized HRM’s clinical applications in identifying gastrointestinal motility disorders, offering practical solutions for improved patient outcomes.

Participants engaged in live case demonstrations and hands-on catheter management sessions. Key training components included sphincter marking techniques, study analysis, and report generation. The inclusion of discussions on complication management and biofeedback therapy further enriched the curriculum.
