The Hugo Robotic-Assisted Surgery (RAS) system, developed by Medtronic, is already operational at Yashoda Group’s Sanjay Nagar facility.
Yashoda Group of Hospitals in Ghaziabad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Medtronic, a global leader in healthcare technology, to expand its robotic-assisted surgery capabilities.
Under this agreement, Medtronic will serve as Yashoda's Preferred Robotics Partner, providing advanced surgical robotic systems and collaborating on specialized training programs for surgical robotics.
The Hugo Robotic-Assisted Surgery (RAS) system, developed by Medtronic, is already operational at Yashoda Group’s Sanjay Nagar facility.
This cutting-edge system assists surgeons in performing complex procedures with high precision, improving surgical outcomes and patient experiences.
With the expansion of the robotics program, Yashoda Hospitals is set to enhance its surgical offerings and bring greater innovation to patient care.
Robotic-assisted surgery offers several advantages over traditional open and laparoscopic surgeries, including faster recovery, reduced blood loss, minimized infection risks, shorter hospital stays, and enhanced precision.
These benefits position robotic surgery as a vital tool in modern medical practice, particularly for complex procedures.
Medtronic’s Hugo RAS system features an open console, modular arms, and a universal system tower.
The system includes a high-resolution vision system for detailed anatomical views, a rotation multiplier for faster suturing, and pistol grip controllers for enhanced maneuverability.
These features enable surgeons to perform complex operations with greater control and accuracy.
In another development, in September, Medtronic plc unveiled a suite of advanced technologies aimed at elevating imaging solutions in spinal care.
These innovations are set to enhance the AiBLE ecosystem, integrating navigation, robotics, AI, data, imaging, software, and implants to optimize outcomes in spinal and cranial procedures.
Additionally, Medtronic announced a strategic partnership with Siemens Healthineers to further expand imaging capabilities in spinal care.
