However, the specific financial terms of the deal have not been revealed. This strategic acquisition deal is expected to enhance Veramed's global presence and broaden the company's data management capability.

UK-based Veramed, a specialist biometrics Contract Research Organisation (CRO), has acquired a Boston-based data management, biostatistics, and medical writing company, Clinical Trial Data Services (CTDS).

However, the specific financial terms of the deal have not been revealed. This strategic acquisition deal is expected to enhance Veramed's global presence and broaden the company's data management capability.

Reportedly, the combination of CTDS and Veramed will grow their team to over 350 trusted statisticians, programmers, and data managers globally, enhancing their ability to provide end-to-end biometrics support.

'œThe combination of CTDS and Veramed will grow our team to over 350 trusted statisticians, programmers and data managers globally and enhance our ability to provide end-to-end biometrics support.  We believe that the benefits of the combination will be felt by the customers and staff of both organizations and open the door to exciting opportunities with new partners,' Matt Jones, cofounder and CEO of Veramed commented.

Founded in 2012, Veramed aims to bring people, innovation, and technology together to accelerate evidence generation and advance patient health. The company has recently appointed Alexander Schacht as executive VP of launch and commercialisation data sciences to spearhead the company's new launch and commercialisation business unit.

Sharing her views on the event, Emma Jones, cofounder and executive vice president, Statistics, Veramed, said, "We were immediately impressed with CTDS's core values and clear dedication to providing tailored solutions to their clients. We are confident this is a great fit and are looking forward to the future"

While established in 2005 by Terri Sampo, Clinical Trial Data Services supports small to midsize sponsor companies helping them to take the next step towards market approval for their drug or device product.

CTDS offers a range of services to manage clinical studies. These include study design, database development, data management, statistical analysis, and medical writing services. They help companies across a range of therapeutic areas conduct clinical trials effectively and efficiently.

In another significant development, US-based Emmes acquired VaxTRIALS, a specialised Clinical Research Organisation (CRO) headquartered in Panama City. This acquisition sought to expand Emme's global presence beyond its existing operations in North America, Europe, and Asia into the Latin American market.

In another instance, Abbott India and Redcliffe Labs collaborated to launch an AI-powered clinical reporting solution '˜AlinIQ'. This platform is powered by advanced technologies such as Big Data Engines and AI to improve the healthcare industry, offering promising solutions to enhance patient care and convenience.
