Recognizing the success of ongoing healthcare initiatives, the CM urged officials to strengthen disease prevention and mitigation strategies further.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to integrate artificial intelligence (AI)-powered telemedicine services across the state’s medical colleges to improve healthcare accessibility.
Under this initiative, medical colleges will be connected to the telemedicine networks of King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS), and Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI).
This AI-driven hub-and-spoke model aims to provide expert consultations remotely, reducing hospital burden and ensuring faster medical interventions.
Additionally, the CM instructed officials to expand night shelters at RMLIMS to accommodate patients and attendants.
CM Adityanath also directed officials to ensure that hospitals registered under the Ayushman Bharat scheme receive payments within 30 days to maintain uninterrupted services.
To improve patient care, he mandated the mandatory presence of doctors at primary health centers (PHCs), community health centers (CHCs), and district hospitals.
Reaffirming support for the Prime Minister’s TB-free India campaign, the CM encouraged public representatives to adopt TB patients and contribute to their treatment and rehabilitation.
He also directed officials to ensure the availability of essential medicines in hospitals and improve ambulance response times for timely patient care.
The CM stressed the importance of maintaining quality and timeliness in projects under the Prime Minister’s Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission.
