A medical device park near Noida is poised to become a major hub for the medical device industry, with 59 companies already allotted land to establish their businesses. These companies are expected to invest around Rs 415 crore, creating approximately 5,000 direct job opportunities. Spanning 350 acres in Sector 28 along the Yamuna Expressway, the medical device park is a significant initiative by the Uttar Pradesh (UP) government to promote the healthcare sector and drive economic growth in the region.
The park will not only manufacture medical devices but also generate substantial employment opportunities. It will cover a diverse range of medical devices, including orthopedic implants, oxygen concentrators, anesthesia needles and kits, spinal implants, X-ray machines, endoscopes, ICU ventilators, and more. Additionally, the park will produce trauma management implants, coronary stents, cancer care equipment, radiology devices, and intraocular lenses, among others. This comprehensive range of medical devices reflects the park's commitment to meeting diverse healthcare needs and fostering innovation in the industry.
To support industrialists and promote small and medium enterprises (SMEs), the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has undertaken proactive measures. Notably, the authority is constructing two flatted factories to assist industrialists with limited budgets, encouraging SMEs to establish businesses in the park. This initiative will significantly contribute to the growth of the medical device industry in the state.
Arun Vir Singh, CEO of YEIDA, appreciates this initiative and acknowledges its potential to boost employment opportunities and drive Uttar Pradesh's economic development. The establishment of the medical device park signifies a strategic approach to attract investments, foster innovation, and create a favorable business ecosystem for the industry.
The forthcoming medical device park near Noida holds significant potential for the region's healthcare sector. It will stimulate job creation and enhance accessibility to cutting-edge healthcare technologies. Additionally, the park will foster research and development endeavors, making a substantial contribution to the overall expansion of the medical device industry. This initiative aligns seamlessly with the Indian government's commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure and promoting domestic manufacturing as part of the "Make in India" initiative.
With its skilled workforce, supportive business environment, and state-of-the-art infrastructure, the medical device park near Noida is set to attract both domestic and international medical device companies. This initiative by the UP government showcases their dedication to innovation, employment generation, and the growth of the healthcare sector for the benefit of Uttar Pradesh and the nation as a whole.
