Adityanath addressed around 150 people during a ‘Janata Darshan’ event at the Gorakhpur Temple before his scheduled departure for the Jharkhand Assembly election campaign in Mirzapur.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has assured residents that the government will fully cover medical expenses for serious illnesses. This initiative is especially meant for individuals needing financial assistance.
Adityanath addressed around 150 people during a ‘Janata Darshan’ event at the Gorakhpur Temple before his scheduled departure for the Jharkhand Assembly election campaign in Mirzapur.
During the event, Adityanath directed officials to expedite the issuance of Ayushman Bharat cards for those eligible but still awaiting coverage.
“Adequate funds will be allocated from the Chief Minister’s Discretionary Fund to support every qualifying individual,” he assured attendees.
This step aims to streamline the support process, ensuring eligible residents receive timely medical assistance.
Emphasizing the government’s commitment to addressing public grievances, Adityanath instructed officials to handle issues with utmost seriousness and responsiveness. He further warned against negligence and directed to take quick action on matters affecting public welfare.
In response to a woman’s concern over financing treatment for a family member at a private hospital, Adityanath advised her to get a cost estimate upon admission, pledging that the government would cover the expenses.
In a similar development, last month, the Uttar Pradesh government allocated over INR 77.5 Cr to ensure comprehensive healthcare services for devotees attending the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, according to an official statement.
Officials have been instructed to finalize all healthcare arrangements by December 15, ahead of the January event. The Health Department is set to introduce advanced medical services, including X-ray, MRI, and laboratory facilities.
Temporary hospitals are also being constructed to support an anticipated 10 lakh outpatient visits and 10,000 inpatient admissions. Additionally, a team of doctors from AIIMS Raebareli will be on-site to provide medical support.
