Tricog Health, a heart-centered healthtech startup based in Bengaluru, India, has successfully raised $8.5 million in its Series B2 funding round. The investment was led by prominent healthcare and technology companies, including Omron Health Care and Sony Innovation Fund. Previous investors such as The University of Tokyo Edge Capital, Inventus Partners, and SGInnovate also participated in the round. This latest funding brings Tricog's total funding to $30 million.

Tricog Health's primary objective with this funding is to expand its operations in Asia and Africa, as well as increase its presence in the US healthcare market. The company aims to leverage strategic partnerships to cater to the needs of heart patients in the comfort of their homes.

At the core of Tricog's offerings is the TriCare platform, which provides an integrated solution for managing chronic diseases, with a particular focus on heart-related conditions. After treatment, TriCare enables remote monitoring and management of heart disease using medical data from connected devices at home, including wearable devices like the Apple Watch.

Founded in 2015 by Bhograj, Zainul Charbiwala, and Udayan Dasgupta, Tricog Health has made significant strides in the healthcare industry. The company currently boasts annual recurring revenue of $7 million. With recent funding, Tricog has ambitious plans to double this figure within the next year and a half.

So far, the company claims to have screened 12 million patients and identified approximately half a million individuals with serious heart conditions.

Omron Health Care and Sony Innovation Fund's investment provides Tricog Health with substantial financial backing and valuable industry expertise. These partnerships will be instrumental in helping the company achieve its expansion goals and broaden its reach across different regions. Tricog Health's focus on heart disease management aligns with the growing demand for remote healthcare solutions, especially in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The ability to remotely monitor patients' health and provide timely interventions has become increasingly crucial. By leveraging connected devices and wearable technologies, Tricog aims to improve patient outcomes and reduce traditional healthcare burden.

As Tricog expands its footprint across Asia, Africa, and the US, it has the potential to positively impact millions of lives by providing accessible and efficient cardiac care. The combination of advanced technology, strategic partnerships, and a dedicated team places Tricog Health in a strong position to revolutionize the way heart disease is managed, ultimately saving lives and improving the quality of care for patients worldwide.
