THIT, International Health Dialogue, & International Patient Safety Conference Begin in New Delhi

Union Health Minister JP Nadda inaugurated the event, highlighting India's commitment to patient safety, digital transformation, and global healthcare collaboration.

The International Health Dialogue (IHD) 2025, organized by Apollo Hospitals, commenced today at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The two-day global forum, which will run from February 21 to 22, also features the 12th International Patient Safety Conference (IPSC) and the 12th International Conference on Transforming Healthcare with IT (THIT).

Union Health Minister JP Nadda inaugurated the event, highlighting India's commitment to patient safety, digital transformation, and global healthcare collaboration.

Highlighting India's progress in healthcare, Nadda said, India is making remarkable strides in healthcare through digital innovation and inclusive policies. Under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), we have created over 750 million ABHA IDs, streamlining health records and access to care. The Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), the world's largest health assurance scheme, is transforming healthcare affordability and accessibility. Our focus on preventive and primary healthcare has significantly reduced out-of-pocket expenses from 64.2% to 39.4%. With technology-driven healthcare solutions, we are committed to ensuring quality, affordable, and patient-centric care for all.

Global Participation in Healthcare Innovation

The event aims to drive discussions on AI-driven healthcare, smart diagnostics, cybersecurity, and global accreditation standards by bringing together over 3,000 global healthcare leaders, policymakers, technology innovators, and patient safety experts from more than 120 countries.

Esteemed speakers at the event include Dr. Jonathan Perlin, President and CEO of Joint Commission International (JCI); Sonia Roschnik, Executive Director of the Geneva Sustainability Centre; Omar Ishrak, Board Member at Intel Corporation; and A. Marc Harrison, Co-founder and CEO of Health Assurance Transformation Corporation. Joining them are industry pioneers such as Arvind Raman, Director of AI in Healthcare at Microsoft India; Dr. Sibasish Dey, Head of Clinical Affairs (South Asia) at ResMed; Maneesh Goyal, Chief Operating Officer at Mayo Clinic; and Puneet Chandok, President of Microsoft India & South Asia. Alongside these distinguished leaders, the event will feature many more experts driving the future of healthcare innovation and transformation.

The conference will also host ministers from five countries alongside leading policymakers and innovators in healthcare and technology.

The International Patient Safety Conference (IPSC), Asia’s leading platform for advancing patient safety, is themed “A New Era of Patient Safety.” It focuses on fail-safe healthcare strategies, AI-driven solutions, and embedding Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles in healthcare planning.

Simultaneously, the Transforming Healthcare with IT (THIT) Conference, organized by Apthe ollo Telemedicine Networking Foundation, will spotlight emerging healthcare IT trends. The event features educational programs, live technology demonstrations, hands-on training, and an industry exhibition showcasing the latest innovations in digital health.
