Tenet Medcorp, operating as Tenet Diagnostics, plans to invest INR 100 Cr to bolster its presence in Karnataka. The expansion plan seeks to enhance accessibility to state-of-the-art technology and advanced infrastructure for diagnostic services, laboratory facilities, and preventive healthcare.
For the same, Tenet Diagnostics plans to double its presence in Karnataka, aiming to increase the number of centres from 5 to 15 by 2025.
Notably, Tenet's five existing Bengaluru centres are in Jayanagar, Sadashivanagar, Indiranagar, Marathahalli, and Whitefield. Moreover, two additional centres in Mysore and Mangalore are set to become operational by the close of 2023.
In line with this expansion, Tenet Diagnostics plans to beef up its workforce by adding more than 1,500 skilled jobs, thus expanding its current employee base of 150+ doctors and 800+ technicians.
Devineni Sricharan, the executive director of Tenet Diagnostics, commenting on the expansion plans, said, "Tenet Diagnostics has achieved a remarkable 100% year-on-year turnover increase, and we are on track to reach a turnover of Rs 150+ Cr this year. Our investment of Rs 100 Cr will establish 15 centers offering advanced PET-CT, Gamma Camera, MRI, CT, Laboratory services, Ultrasound, X-ray, 2D echo, TMT, PFT, Mammography, ECG, EEG, ENMG, Audiometry, OPG, Corporate screening, Hospital lab management, and preventive healthcare packages."
As per Sricharan, Tenet has collaborated with a number of institutions such as the Ohio State University and have inked master research agreements with Siemens and United Imaging.
"We remain committed to partnering with various stakeholders to leverage technology, research, and resources, setting new benchmarks in diagnostics and laboratory services," he added.
Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Hyderabad, Telangana, Tenet Diagnostics operates in eight states with 25 locations across India. Their offerings include clinical biochemistry, hematology, microbiology, and molecular pathology diagnostics.
They also provide radiology services with technology deploying 3T MRI, CT Scans, Ultrasound, Mammography, X-ray, 2D Echo, OPG, TMT/PFT, and BMD/Dexa.
Improving patient experience along with expanding diagnostic services have been a major focus these days among the medical technology service providers in India. In August, Aarthi Scans and Labs, a Chennai-based diagnostic chain, unveiled '˜smart reports' to make patients easily understand the complex medical terminology often used in radiology reports. These reports aim to bridge the gap between patients and their radiology reports by addressing the common challenge of decoding complex medical terminology.
