Wisp members can now access Origin's range of services, such as postpartum recovery, pre-pregnancy strengthening, and therapies for vaginal infections.
US-based Wisp, a prominent telehealth company specializing in women's sexual and reproductive health, has teamed up with Origin, a leading provider of pelvic floor and physical therapy services for women.
This collaboration enables members from both companies to benefit from each other's offerings, expanding access to comprehensive care.
As part of the partnership, Wisp members can now access Origin's comprehensive range of services, which include therapies for postpartum recovery, alleviating pain during intercourse, pre-pregnancy strengthening, and addressing symptoms of vaginal infections like UTIs.
Similarly, Origin patients will benefit from access to Wisp’s offerings, such as fertility and menopause products, as well as UTI and STI treatments.
Wisp also offers same-day appointments for women seeking treatment for sexual and reproductive health tools. Patients can connect with a licensed medical provider and, if needed, obtain a prescription for same-day in-person pickup or home delivery.
"Women's health is complex and multifaceted, requiring personalized care that addresses the specific needs of each individual. Origin and Wisp are dedicated to providing comprehensive, tailored solutions that empower women to prioritize their reproductive, sexual, and overall well-being," said Origin CEO & Co-Founder Carine Carmy.
The 2024 Origin Pelvic Health Study reveals that 83% of women aged 18-59 experience symptoms associated with pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD), with millennial women showing significantly higher rates compared to older Gen X women. These symptoms often begin or worsen due to maternity or menopause. Among women who have given birth in the last five years, 79% report that pelvic symptoms have negatively affected their lives.
Given that this group constitutes a significant share of their patient base, Wisp and Origin have collaborated to offer Wisp’s members access to comprehensive treatments and prescription options.
Wisp is a leading US women's telehealth company which serves over 1.4 million patients across all 50 states with online sexual and reproductive health solutions. Wisp is majority-owned by WELL Health Technologies Corp.
Founded in 2020, Origin combines virtual and in-person care with educational content and exercises. In network with over 50 million people, the company provides nationwide pelvic floor and MSK physical therapy for women, focusing on incontinence, pregnancy, postpartum, menopause, and sexual health.
Recently, Wisp partnered with the online food-as-medicine platform Nourish, enabling patients to access nutrition counseling services through their health insurance or at a special self-pay rate.
