In a significant announcement, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy revealed that Telangana will soon introduce digital health cards.
Speaking at a event Telangana CM Revanth emphasized that "The data from digital health cards will be the true asset, allowing for streamlined access to patients’ medical histories and reducing the need for repeated diagnostic tests," he stated, ensuring that privacy measures will be implemented.

Revanth highlighted the importance of expert guidance from professionals like Dr Reddy in shaping the state's healthcare initiatives, aiming to make Hyderabad a global health hub.
To support medical travel, discussions with the Civil Aviation Ministry are underway to establish direct flights from the Middle East to Hyderabad, along with special security clearance counters for international patients.
Additionally, the government has increased the Arogyasri health insurance limit to INR 10 lakh and allocated INR 900 Cr under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in the past year.
Moreover, CM Revanth reiterated the significance of family health doctors over specialist-driven care.
The event also featured the felicitation of Dr Nageshwar Reddy by Revanth, along with other dignitaries, including Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy and Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha.
