Minister Sridhar Babu emphasized that AI integration will enhance precision in healthcare services, positioning the state as a leader in digital health innovation.
Telangana is gearing up to introduce an AI-powered integrated health profiling system that aims to create comprehensive digital health records for every citizen.
This initiative is expected to transform healthcare delivery by centralizing patient data, ensuring seamless medical care, and enabling predictive healthcare solutions.
The announcement was made by Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister, D Sridhar Babu, following the launch of MDR.My Digi Record, a mobile application developed by Medure Hospital Services.
The app is designed to facilitate real-time health monitoring, efficient data management, and secure storage of medical histories, diagnostic reports, and treatment plans.
The AI integration will enhance precision in healthcare services. Further, it aims to alleviate the burden on patients by providing doctors with access to comprehensive medical records, thus improving diagnosis and treatment efficiency.
Additionally, the predictive capabilities of AI will help identify potential health risks early, allowing for timely interventions.
The minister also lauded Medure Hospital Services for developing the MDR.My Digi Record app, which ensures instant access to critical health information for both patients and healthcare providers.
By streamlining health data management, the initiative is expected to enhance patient care while reducing redundancies in medical processes.
In a parallel development, the Telangana government has announced plans to establish an AI advisory council dedicated to the life sciences sector by January 2025.
This initiative falls under the broader Telangana AI Advisory Council, a nine-member body unveiled during a recent industry event.
The council will focus on accelerating AI adoption in life sciences, further strengthening Hyderabad’s reputation as a global innovation hub in the sector.
Minister Sridhar Babu reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting companies and institutions in integrating AI into their operations, ensuring continued growth and technological advancement.
To complement these efforts, the state government is launching AI and machine learning (ML) training programs tailored for healthcare and life sciences companies.
Additionally, discussions are underway to establish a specialized AI university aimed at cultivating a skilled workforce and fostering innovation in AI-driven solutions.
Minister Babu highlighted Telangana’s proactive approach to developing a robust AI policy framework aligned with ethical and inclusive growth.
As part of this strategy, the government is studying global AI policies to implement best practices.
