This launch is significant for the large number of individuals suffering from chronic pain in India, where approximately 180 million people are affected.

Stryker, a global leader in medical technologies, has unveiled its MultiGen 2 Radiofrequency (RF) Generator, designed to improve the management of chronic pain, particularly for facet joint pain, a common source of persistent back pain.

This launch is significant for the large number of individuals suffering from chronic pain in India, where approximately 180 million people are affected.

The MultiGen 2 RF Generator offers enhanced efficiency, control, and reliability for RF ablation procedures. This minimally invasive technique has been shown in clinical studies to provide substantial relief from pain for up to a year in many patients.

“MultiGen 2 is the next generation of radiofrequency ablation that provides physicians with control and customization to perform chronic pain management procedures confidently. With MultiGen 2, radiofrequency ablation becomes more efficient and reliable than ever, providing lasting relief to millions of people living with facet joint pain,” said Aman Rishi, VP and GM for India at Stryker.

MultiGen’s Offerings

The MultiGen 2 Generator boasts double the power of industry standards, allowing it to reach target temperatures faster and with fewer errors. This enhancement improves overall procedure reliability and efficiency.

Further, physicians can initiate a procedure with a single button push, create strip lesions without needing to remove electrodes, and correct errors without halting the procedure. This design aims to optimize procedural time and efficiency.

In addition to its advanced power capabilities, the MultiGen 2 RF Generator works with the Venom Cannula and Electrode System. This combination enables physicians to create large, minimally invasive lesions quickly.

The integrated system is designed to offer greater control and reliability, addressing the needs of both patients and healthcare providers.

“The MultiGen 2 allows for a more streamlined and customizable approach to RF ablation. It supports the need for greater precision and adaptability in pain management treatments,” Rishi added.

By offering an efficient and reliable tool for RF ablation, Stryker aims to enhance the quality of life for patients suffering from chronic pain.
