The company aims to streamline the traditionally fragmented MSK care sector by integrating advanced technology and structured treatment models.
Stance Health, a Bengaluru-based healthcare startup focused on musculoskeletal (MSK) care, has raised $1 million in pre-seed funding.
The investment round was led by General Catalyst, with additional support from Antler, DEVC, EX Capital (founded by Sword Health's founders), and angel investors, including Sriharsha Majety and Nandan Reddy (co-founders of Swiggy) and Kulin Shah (co-founder of Onsurity).
The funding will be used to develop Stance Health’s proprietary technology platform, expand its team, and establish multidisciplinary MSK care centers across Bengaluru and other major Indian cities.
Additionally, the company aims to streamline the traditionally fragmented MSK care sector by integrating advanced technology and structured treatment models.
Musculoskeletal disorders affect a large portion of India's population, yet access to structured and standardized treatment remains limited. Stance Health plans to address this gap by combining medical expertise, rehabilitation specialists, and advanced diagnostics within a single, tech-driven framework.
"The fragmented nature of musculoskeletal care in India has long obstructed patient access to effective treatments," said Rohit Arora, Co-founder and CEO of Stance Health. "This funding allows us to leverage state-of-the-art technology to broaden our reach and standardize care throughout the country. We believe musculoskeletal care needs the ethos of medical science but with a very strong consumer-focused understanding, all of it powered by technology."
Stance Health’s approach includes AI-based motion sensors, objective strength assessments, and structured rehabilitation pathways. The company's three-phase recovery model—Reassess, Restore, Reignite—focuses on ensuring clinical precision and long-term recovery for patients.
The funding round has received backing from orthopaedic department heads at Manipal Hospitals and Kauvery Hospitals, reflecting strong support from the medical community. This endorsement underscores the growing demand for structured MSK treatment solutions in India.
With the newly secured funding, Stance Health plans to expand its presence in major cities, reinforcing its commitment to delivering technology-driven musculoskeletal care.
