Skanray & Tata Elxsi Partner to Develop Advanced Surgical Imaging Technology

Tata Elxsi will spearhead a software platform-led approach to diagnostics, supporting all imaging, critical care, and surgical systems from Skanray.

Skanray, a global Medtech R&D and manufacturing company specializing in diagnostic imaging, critical care, and surgery/OT solutions, has partnered with Tata Elxsi to develop advanced surgical imaging core technology and a software platform.

This collaboration aims to revolutionize diagnosis and treatment by leveraging advanced technology modules to enhance predictability, accuracy, and consistency.

Skanray operates in seven countries and offers 55 CE-marked and 34 FDA-approved products across various medical fields, including diagnostic imaging, critical care, cardiology, dentistry, and surgery.

The company is pursuing a long-term strategy to expand its portfolio by incorporating new device families and modalities.

This initiative aims to create a suite of reusable modules and components for medical devices, alongside developing an advanced analytics cloud platform.

Priyanka Chatterjee, VP of Corporate Communications at Skanray Technologies, said, "By combining Skanray's core technology and deep understanding of medical applications with Tata Elxsi's capabilities in futuristic technology, we are poised to drive significant advancements in healthcare delivery.’’

Per chatterjee, the collaborative efforts will result in solutions that are not only technologically advanced but are also operator-friendly and cost-effective, helping healthcare providers deliver significantly improved health outcomes for patients.

The collaboration focuses on creating advanced, efficient, and accessible healthcare solutions that will benefit healthcare providers and patients globally.

Tata Elxsi's Role in Software Development

Tata Elxsi will spearhead a software platform-led approach to diagnostics, supporting all imaging, critical care, and surgical systems from Skanray.

This platform will ensure interoperability, compatibility, and multi-modal functionality. It will also integrate the latest technologies and process efficiencies from AI and GenAI, according to the company’s statement.
