This partnership brings Rula’s network of over 10,000 mental health professionals to Amazon's Health Condition Programs, available through Amazon's platform.

Rula Health has joined forces with Amazon Health Services to provide expanded access to virtual mental healthcare across the United States.

This partnership brings Rula’s network of over 10,000 mental health professionals to Amazon's Health Condition Programs, available through Amazon's platform, aiming to ease access to personalized mental health services for millions of Americans.

With a focus on reducing barriers to mental healthcare, Amazon customers can now search for mental health support directly through Amazon’s Health Condition Programs.

By entering keywords such as "stress relief" or "anxiety relief," users can locate licensed providers who match their needs, accept their insurance, and offer culturally sensitive care across various specializations.

Amazon Health launched its Health Condition Programs earlier this year to facilitate user-friendly access to virtual care benefits offered by their employers or health plans at no additional cost.

Omada Health, a virtual chronic care provider, was Amazon’s first partner in this program. The addition of Rula Health broadens Amazon’s mental health offerings significantly, spanning all 50 states and Washington, D.C.

Rula Health provides a comprehensive suite of mental health services, including a streamlined matching system designed to connect patients with the most suitable providers based on language, race, cultural background, and specific treatment needs.

According to Rula, nearly 97% of users find a provider that meets their criteria. Doug Newton, MD, MPH, Chief Medical Officer of Rula, emphasized the importance of a well-suited provider match for effective mental healthcare.

“Specialty care is closely connected to Rula’s core clinical belief that excellent mental healthcare starts with the right care team. We know how important it is for patients to work with a provider who has real depth of experience not just as a clinician, but as someone who has specific expertise and experience working with a given condition.” Dr Newton stated.

The platform offers immediate access to providers, often within 24 hours of the initial search, and provides critical services, including 24/7 crisis support. Through Amazon’s platform, users can discover mental health services via multiple avenues, such as search, product detail pages, or Amazon’s discovery bar, ensuring that finding support is as simple as possible.

Rula Health, founded in 2019, focuses on expanding personalised, in-network mental healthcare and is available to all US residents over the age of five. In line with its commitment to patient-centered care, Rula integrates patient-reported outcome questionnaires into every session, allowing clinicians to monitor patient progress and adjust treatments based on these self-reported assessments.

Through partnerships with leading health plans, including Optum, Cigna, Aetna, Anthem, and nearly all Blue Cross Blue Shield affiliates, Rula Health’s services are accessible to more than 120 million insured individuals across the country.

This broad insurance coverage, coupled with Rula’s extensive network of providers, supports its mission to remove common access barriers to mental health resources in diverse communities.
