Specifically addressing cardiovascular health challenges, the company strives to improve healthcare infrastructure and services in the region.

Global healthtech player Royal Philips has recently completed 1500 Cath Lab installations in the Indian subcontinent.

This development highlights the company's ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare infrastructure and services in the region, particularly in addressing cardiovascular health challenges.

Moreover, these installations, including the deployment of Azurion Cath Labs in major cities, align with the company's mission to improve access to advanced medical technologies.

According to Daniel Mazon, vice chairman & MD, Philips Indian Subcontinent, the milestone of 1500+ Cath Lab installations reflects the company's dedication to advancing healthcare solutions and supporting the local health ecosystem.

Combating Cardiovascular Disease

In conjunction with achieving this milestone, Philips introduced two new products aimed at tackling the burden of cardiovascular disease (CVD) in India.

"Signifying the best in innovation from Philips, these products provide doctors with technologies that ensure better outcomes for patients and caregivers," Mazon noted.

One of these products, OmniWire, represents a notable advancement in coronary artery interventional procedures. With its solid core construction, OmniWire enables physicians to navigate the wire more effectively within the patient's circulatory system, facilitating precise measurements and guiding catheter and stent placement.

The second product, Zenition 90 Motorized, is an image-guided therapy mobile C-arm system designed to support surgeons in delivering high-quality care to patients. With expanded capabilities, including the ability to meet complex vascular needs and perform a range of clinical procedures such as cardiac interventions and pain management, Zenition 90 Motorized represents a significant advancement in medical technology.

Partnership & Technological Advancements

In addition to the launch of these innovative products, Philips also collaborated with Synthetic MR to introduce Smart Quant Neuro 3D, an advanced tool for diagnosing and assessing therapy outcomes for brain disorders.

Integrated with AI-based technology, Smart Quant Neuro 3D provides healthcare providers with enhanced diagnostic capabilities and decision support for conditions such as multiple sclerosis (MS), traumatic brain injury (TBI), and dementia.

Commenting on this partnership, Mazon said, "This integration provides healthcare providers with advanced diagnostic tools to enhance decision support, assess disease progression, and monitor therapy effectiveness for various brain disorders."

Philips' Continued Innovation in Healthcare

The global healthtech player also launched three new AI-enabled innovations to free healthcare providers to focus more on patient care.

These innovations include next-generation ultrasound systems, the world's first mobile MRI system with helium-free operations, and new AI-enabled cloud solutions enhancing radiology efficiency and clinical confidence.

By focusing on enhancing workflows and improving efficiency, Philips aims to allow clinical staff more time for patient care.

Additionally, Philips collaborated with healthcare providers to optimize workflows, ensuring more time is available for patient-focused care. The 'Care Means the World' campaign highlights the interconnectedness of human and environmental health, emphasizing the importance of both in healthcare.

Days back, Philips launched an innovation campus in Bengaluru to advance healthcare technology. The expansive 650,000 sq ft facility accommodates more than 5,000 professionals dedicated to developing advanced health technologies. The primary goal is to enhance patient experiences, improve health outcomes, streamline staff experiences, and reduce the overall cost of care.

Furthermore, a noteworthy collaboration unfolded between Royal Philips and the World Stroke Organisation (WSO). The two-year partnership aims to improve access to high-quality stroke care, focusing on advocacy, education, and raising awareness about stroke as a global health challenge.

Founded in 1891, Royal Philips is commonly known as Philips. The company's first products were light bulbs. Today, Philips is a global leader in health technology, focussing on improving people's health and well-being through advanced developments. The global health tech company aims to improve 2.5 billion lives annually by 2030.
