The new testing service will also support effective public communication and education efforts, aiming to reduce misinformation and improve community understanding of Mpox.

Redcliffe Labs has launched a new Mpox testing service to detect and manage Mpox outbreaks.

This move is part of the company’s strategy to bolster preparedness against potential public health threats posed by the virus.

Mpox, a viral disease known for its rapid transmission, has been reported in Africa, Europe, and parts of Asia.

The disease, previously identified as Monkeypox, poses significant health risks if not managed properly.

Redcliffe Labs’ new testing capability is designed to address these risks by providing early detection and facilitating swift response to contain potential outbreaks.

The new testing service will also support effective public communication and education efforts, aiming to reduce misinformation and improve community understanding of Mpox.

Readiness for Mpox

In a proactive measure, Redcliffe Labs has assured key health authorities, including the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Noida and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), of its readiness to handle Mpox cases.

Reportedly, the company's advanced testing facilities will assist in rapid identification and isolation of infected individuals.

Moreover, with the integration of advanced technology, Redcliffe aims to ensure that healthcare providers are prepared to manage an increased number of cases effectively.

Sharing thoughts, Aditya Kandoi, CEO of Redcliffe Labs, said, “We are ready to work closely with health authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of our community.”

Dr Geetanjali Gupta, director of technical operations and quality assurance at Redcliffe Labs, highlighted the importance of early detection in controlling the spread of Mpox.

She noted, “Mpox, similar to other highly contagious viral infections, demands early detection for timely and effective intervention. Early diagnosis is crucial to preventing complications, limiting the spread of the disease, and safeguarding public health. By ensuring swift identification, we can enhance patient outcomes and protect communities from further outbreaks.”

The introduction of Mpox testing by Redcliffe Labs aligns with broader public health strategies to strengthen national pandemic defense and ensure timely intervention in the face of potential health crises.

This proactive approach is expected to mitigate the impact of the disease and support the overall health infrastructure in managing potential outbreaks.
