The launch aligns with Redcliffe Labs’ broader initiative, the “Beat the Sugar Trap” campaign, which aims to increase diabetes awareness and encourage early intervention for at-risk individuals.

In recognition of World Diabetes Day, Redcliffe Labs has rolled out a new digital tool, the “Prediabetes Risk Checker,” accessible through its Android app, designed to help users gauge their diabetes risk and promote preventive healthcare.

The launch aligns with Redcliffe Labs’ broader initiative, the “Beat the Sugar Trap” campaign, which aims to increase diabetes awareness and encourage early intervention for at-risk individuals.

The Prediabetes Risk Checker uses data analytics to provide an immediate risk assessment through questions targeting lifestyle habits and genetic factors. Designed for ease of use, the tool allows individuals to monitor their health independently, focusing on urban populations where prediabetes cases are notably high. India, currently home to over 136 million individuals with prediabetes, faces a mounting healthcare challenge, and this new tool aims to counter the trend by increasing early awareness.

Empowering Users for Early Detection of Diabetes Risks

The "Prediabetes Risk Checker" provides users with a snapshot of their potential risk of developing diabetes. This interactive tool uses responses to a series of questions to gauge risk levels quickly, allowing individuals to access crucial health insights without requiring a formal consultation.

Aditya Kandoi, CEO and Founder of Redcliffe Labs, said, “Diabetes is no longer an age-specific concern—it’s affecting younger people in greater numbers, making early detection and prevention essential. Reversing prediabetes is the key to fighting all the associated health risks, which can range from weakening your immunity system to increasing the heart risk to double.”

He added that the Risk Checker was developed to help users understand their risk factors and guide them toward preventive measures before the disease progresses.

India currently has over 136 million people living with prediabetes. By providing an accessible and straightforward way for individuals to check their risk levels, Redcliffe Labs aims to encourage preventive care, enabling individuals to make more informed health decisions.

Data-Driven Insights Encourage Healthier Lifestyle Choices

The Risk Checker’s design aligns with Redcliffe Labs’ goal of making preventive healthcare accessible and actionable. Once users receive their risk assessment, the tool suggests lifestyle modifications tailored to their health profile, including dietary changes and physical activity. Additionally, it encourages diagnostic testing for those at high risk, allowing individuals to take proactive steps in managing their health.

Dr. Geetanjali Gupta, Director of Technical Operations and Quality Assurance at Redcliffe Labs, emphasized the role of quality and accuracy in healthcare services: “We at Redcliffe Labs regularly perform over 50 stringent quality checks to deliver accurate and reliable health check reports for informed decision-making. However, to reach the masses, technology plays a crucial role. It enables us to make preventive healthcare more accessible and personalized.”

By leveraging digital tools, the company has broadened its reach to over 220 cities, making preventive healthcare accessible to a larger population.
