Equipped with Dozee’s Remote Monitoring System (RMS) and Early Warning System (EWS), the initiative aims to redefine patient care in non-ICU settings through advanced technology.
The Sancheti Advanced Orthocare Hospital, a new 300-bed facility under the Sancheti Group of Hospitals, has launched Pune’s first AI-powered smart ward.
Equipped with Dozee’s Remote Monitoring System (RMS) and Early Warning System (EWS), the initiative aims to redefine patient care in non-ICU settings through advanced technology.
The Smart Ward enables contactless and continuous monitoring of vital parameters such as heart rate, respiration rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, temperature, and ECG. Dozee’s system uses Ballistocardiography (BCG) technology to track these metrics remotely. Its AI-powered EWS alerts healthcare staff about potential patient deterioration up to 16 hours in advance, enabling timely interventions and improved clinical outcomes.
Dr Parag Sancheti, MD, chairman of the Sancheti Group of Hospitals, explained the initiative's significance: “As leaders in healthcare, our commitment extends beyond treatment; it encompasses the relentless pursuit of advancements that redefine patient care. This initiative represents a shift from reactive care to preventive and proactive care models.”
Dozee’s India Head, Kaushal Pandya, said, “Sancheti Group’s commitment to a patient-centric approach and sustainable healthcare aligns seamlessly with Dozee’s mission to bring advanced patient safety tools to the forefront. This strategic integration ensures continuous monitoring and early intervention become standard practice, significantly enhancing patient safety and outcomes.”
The technology's impact is supported by evidence. A study in Frontiers in Medical Technology documented improvements in patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and safety through the use of Dozee’s AI-based systems.
