The collaboration seeks to make regular diabetes monitoring more accessible to the public, running through to the end of November.

In a joint effort to promote early diagnosis and support diabetes management, Protinex Diabetes Care partnered with Apollo Health Co (Apollo 24|7) to offer a complimentary HbA1c test for consumers who purchase Protinex Diabetes Care.

This initiative, launched in anticipation of World Diabetes Day, provides free tests for HbA1c, a key marker for average blood glucose levels over two to three months, with the testing service available through Apollo 24|7's home collection service.

The collaboration seeks to make regular diabetes monitoring more accessible to the public, running through to the end of November.

This partnership spotlights the pressing need for regular glucose level checks, particularly in a country like India, where diabetes affects over 101 million people, representing 11.4% of the population according to a recent Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) study.

“The right nutrition is crucial in the battle against diabetes. It’s not just about managing blood sugar levels but also about early diagnosis and management,” said Sriram Padmanabhan, Marketing Director of Danone India, the parent company of Protinex.

With one of the world’s highest diabetes rates, India faces significant health challenges related to diabetes management.

The Protinex Diabetes Care formula is designed to aid blood sugar control with its clinically proven low-glycaemic index (GI) composition, high fibre content, and added immuno-nutrients. This combination supports individuals in managing blood glucose levels while also promoting immune health.

Madhava Krishna, VP – Category at Apollo Health Co (Apollo 24|7), emphasized the importance of providing accessible diabetes testing, “Our partnership with Protinex Diabetes Care aligns perfectly with this vision by making essential diabetes testing widely available. Protein and fibre play crucial roles in diabetes management, helping regulate blood sugar and maintain sustained energy. By incorporating these nutrients in diet alongside regular health checks, we aim to support individuals in taking meaningful steps toward managing their health. Together, we hope to create greater awareness and make diabetes care more accessible for all.”

To increase the reach of the initiative, Protinex Diabetes Care plans to strengthen its visibility through Apollo’s retail and digital platforms, encouraging more individuals to prioritize regular diabetes checks and effective management strategies.

As part of the campaign, Apollo Health Co has also set up a toll-free number to provide information on testing services and support, further simplifying access to diabetes care for individuals across the country.
