Practo Assured spans 15 key specialties, offering patients detailed information about each provider’s offerings, including infrastructure, safety standards, and doctor expertise.
Practo, a leading healthcare platform, has introduced Practo Assured, a curated network of verified hospitals and clinics aimed at simplifying the process of finding reliable care providers for patients.
The network currently features 300 hospitals and 1,200 doctors across eight cities, focusing on delivering high-quality and trusted healthcare services.
At the heart of Practo Assured is the proprietary Hospital Excellence Rating (HER), inspired by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) framework.
The HER system evaluates hospitals and clinics on more than 100 parameters, including infrastructure, equipment, hygiene standards, and insurance networks.
Establishments are selected through a stringent process that integrates data insights, patient feedback, and evaluations by Practo’s medical experts.
Only providers with a rating of 4 or higher qualify for the network. According to the company, nearly 50% of applicants fail to meet these standards, underscoring its commitment to maintaining quality.
“Practo Assured is our way of creating the right incentives in healthcare by focusing on health outcomes,” said Siddhartha Nihalani, Co-founder of Practo.
“This initiative not only helps patients make informed choices but also motivates healthcare providers to prioritize excellence.”
A recent survey conducted by Practo among 300 participants revealed the primary factors influencing patients’ selection of hospitals or clinics:
Doctor’s experience (84%)
Success rate of past surgeries (76%)
Number of similar surgeries performed (61%)
Cost of treatment (60%)
These insights underscore the importance of transparency and trust in healthcare, which Practo aims to address through its Assured network.
Practo Assured spans 15 key specialties, offering patients detailed information about each provider’s offerings, including infrastructure, safety standards, and doctor expertise.
The program goes beyond appointment booking by addressing patient concerns about trust, quality, and access to information.
The Assured network is subject to biannual audits and feedback loops from both patients and providers to maintain high standards over time.
Practo believes this approach fosters trust and ensures a sustainable focus on quality in healthcare.
“Quality isn’t just the right thing to do—it’s essential for sustainable success in healthcare,” Nihalani emphasized.
Practo Assured seeks to redefine how patients choose healthcare providers by prioritizing excellence and transparency, creating a system where quality care becomes the norm.
In another development, in January, Practo announced venturing into co-branded dental and dermatology single-specialty clinics in selected cities, marking a strategic expansion beyond its core services.
With this strategic initiative, Practo seeks to tackle consumer challenges in selecting clinics by offering standardized quality assurance, modern equipment, and clear pricing.
