Power Grid Corporation Collaborates with AIIMS Raipur, Commits INR 15.50 Cr Investment for Healthcare Support

This fund will be utilised to buy necessary equipment including a state-of-the-art CT scan machine, an ambulance, and medical amenities such as recovery cum patient shifting trolleys, foldable wheelchairs, and e-rickshaws. 

Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) has partnered with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been signed between the entities to offer medical equipment and an ambulance valued at INR 15.50 Cr, to AIIMS Raipur.

Under this partnership, PGCIL will contribute the above-stated funds towards acquiring essential healthcare resources for AIIMS Raipur. 

This fund will be utilised to buy equipment including CT scan machine, an ambulance, and medical amenities such as recovery cum patient shifting trolleys, foldable wheelchairs, and e-rickshaws. 

Commenting on the same, Alok, executive director (Western Region-1) at Power Grid, said, "We believe that this initiative will substantially improve the healthcare experience for patients, addressing critical aspects of diagnosis and patient mobility."

Recently, AIIMS, New Delhi, too has streamlined its clinical departments. In another development, AIIMS Bhubaneswar and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar signed a MoU to integrate medical science with technology to provide a better and more equipped healthcare service.
