In accordance with the agreement, Philips and WSO will leverage their respective strengths to increase greater public awareness to recognise stroke as a global health issue.

Global healthtech player, Royal Philips and the world's only global non-governmental organisation dedicated to stroke care, World Stroke Organisation (WSO), has signed a two-year partnership aimed at improving access to high-quality stroke care.

This strategic collaboration centres around advocacy, education and raising awareness calling stroke as a global health challenge.

In accordance with the agreement, Philips and WSO will leverage their respective strengths to increase greater public awareness to recognise stroke as a global health issue.

Additionally, the partnership will support the implementation of advanced treatment methods with the potential to transform the stroke care process, recognising the importance of reducing the time between symptom onset and effective treatment for improved patient outcomes.

Founded in 1891, Royal Philips is commonly known as Philips. The company's first products were light bulbs. Today, Philips is a global leader in health technology, focussing on improving people's health and well-being through advanced developments. The global healthtech company aims to improve 2.5 billion lives per year by 2030.

WSO is a non-profit medical association formed from the merging of two organisations previously in existence, the International Stroke Society (ISS) and the World Stroke Federation (WSF) in the year 2006.

The organisation seeks to provide access to stroke care and promote research to improve stroke patients care throughout the world. The association also works to increase visibility and credibility of its activities among stroke clinicians, researchers, other health professionals, international professional and lay organisations, and the general public.

In another significant development, Bharat Serums and Vaccines Ltd (BSV) launched smart mobile apps to streamline for better patient care. The app offers a user-friendly and convenient platform for uploading information about potential adverse events that may occur following the use of BSV's products.
