The hospital recently conducted its first robotic-assisted surgery using the system—a robotic right extended hemicolectomy on a 34-year-old female dentist diagnosed with colon carcinoma.
Pune-based Noble Hospitals and Research Centre has installed Maharashtra’s first made-in-India robotic surgical system, the SSI Mantra 3.
This innovative technology aims to enhance surgical precision and efficiency, significantly improving patient outcomes.
The SSI Mantra 3 Robotic System, designed and manufactured in India, features five lean robotic arms, an immersive 3D HD headset for surgeons, and a vision cart equipped with 3D 4K imaging for the entire surgical team.
These features collectively enable surgeons to perform procedures with heightened accuracy and control.
The robotic system was inaugurated by renowned Marathi actor Prasad Oak, in the presence of Dr. Dileep Mane, Chairman and Managing Director of Noble Hospitals, along with other prominent dignitaries.
Dr Ashish Pokharkar, an oncosurgeon at Noble Hospitals, hailed the system as a revolutionary step forward in surgical technology, calling it the beginning of a new era in patient care.
