In a significant step towards enhancing healthcare services, the Karnataka government has announced a new 100-bed multispecialty hospital.
The project is currently under construction in Sarvajna Nagar. Recently. Energy Minister K J George and Health and Family Welfare Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao inspected the project's progress in HRBR Layout.
Minister KJ George emphasized the urgency for timely completion, urging the Health Department to ensure the facility is fully equipped and operational as soon as possible.
He noted the hospital's accessibility features, stating it will include ramps and dedicated consultation rooms for specialized treatments.
Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao praised the initiative, declaring it a model hospital for the region. He called for a comprehensive cost estimate to be submitted through the Finance Department for Cabinet approval and funding.
In a tweet, he stated, "Today, I inspected the construction of a new government multi-specialty hospital under construction in the Sarvajnanagar assembly constituency along with Energy Minister Shri K.J. George. In order to provide better health facilities to the people of the country, our government will build community health centers in new taluks. Along with this, it is emphasizing on upgrading many taluk hospitals and building multi-specialty hospitals that provide the best health services."
The new facility is set to include an intensive care unit, a fully functional emergency department, and a dialysis center, with specialized consultation rooms for ENT and other fields located on the ground floor for easy accessibility.
