The Dutch delegation met with Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao to discuss ways to align the Netherlands' public health system with the initiatives of the Karnataka state government.

The Netherlands government has expressed interest in adopting Karnataka's digital health solutions, particularly focusing on innovations like remote monitoring systems, telehealth for medical triaging, and AI-driven advancements in pharmaceutical development.

During a recent bilateral discussion, the Dutch delegation, led by Vice Minister of Health Barbara Goezinne, met with Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao to discuss ways to align the Netherlands' public health system with the initiatives of the Karnataka state government.

The Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP) played a pivotal role in these talks, proposing an "Innovation Bridge" to align the Netherlands' public health system with Karnataka's digital health initiatives.

The discussions addressed telemedicine, remote patient monitoring, medical diagnostics, and AI-enabled drug development. The delegation also interacted with the teams responsible for these innovative technologies.

Barbara commended C-CAMP for its commitment to making advanced medical technologies more affordable.

She said, "The innovation walk was an opportunity to meet inspiring founders behind these innovations. We are committed to working together on labour-saving medical solutions to support healthcare professionals."

"The state government has been working closely with C-CAMP to develop and scale impactful innovations. It’s great to have visitors from the Netherlands — we can learn from your experiences and explore future collaborations,” Health Minister Gundu Rao stated,

The discussions aim to foster Indo-Dutch collaboration in digital health and AI-powered healthtech, focusing on scalable and impactful healthcare solutions.

C-CAMP's portfolio includes over 80 deep-tech startups working on cutting-edge technologies such as AI, machine learning, healthcare analytics, and wearable health devices.

Dr Taslimarif Saiyed, CEO-Director of C-CAMP, highlighted, "One of our translational projects for sepsis was licensed to Dutch biotech firm Survivex over a year ago. We also have ongoing collaborations with Dutch institutions such as Utrecht and Leiden, as well as industry partners."

C-CAMP-supported digital health innovations are already integrated into Karnataka's public health system, improving services like ophthalmology, maternal and child healthcare, immunization, and remote patient monitoring.

Last year, C-CAMP joined hands with Indegene to help early-stage life sciences startups accelerate technology innovation, product development, and go-to-market. This multi-year partnership was based on Indegene providing financial assistance, mentorship from specialized experts, and a digital service suite to bolster C-CAMP’s efforts in facilitating deep-science startups within a comprehensive ecosystem.
