Narayana Hrudayalaya has announced plans to invest INR 900 Cr in a new multi-phase hospital project in Kolkata. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee laid the foundation stone for the facility.
According to the company's exchange filing, the investment will be utilized for the project's first phase, with funding coming from a combination of debt and internal accruals.

Over the next three to ten years, the company aims to expand the facility into a 1,100-bed super-specialty hospital, catering to the growing healthcare demands of Eastern India.
Equipped with cutting-edge medical technology, the hospital is expected to offer world-class healthcare services.
The hospital will provide a range of specialties, including oncology, cardiac sciences, organ transplants, orthopedics, advanced trauma care, neurology, gastroenterology, renal sciences, and critical care.
In addition to specialized treatments, it aims to enhance Kolkata’s critical care and emergency response capabilities, improving access to life-saving interventions.
Narayana Health Group stated that its existing hospitals in Kolkata are witnessing high patient footfalls, highlighting the region's strong demand for advanced medical care.
The new hospital is part of the company's long-term strategy to expand its presence in Eastern India. Apart from Kolkata, Narayana Health has their presence in Howrah, Barasat, Raipur, Guwahati, and Jamshedpur.
