Athma has integrated into Narayana Health's operations, deploying a suite of solutions including Clinical HER (Electronic Health Record), LIS, ambulatory, billing, inventory management, online pharmacy, and app-based solutions
Narayana Health has partnered with healthtech company Athma to streamline patient care and communication. The collaboration seeks to address challenges in patient care, fragmented systems, and data overload.
Per the partnership, Athma has integrated into Narayana Health's operations, deploying a suite of solutions including Clinical HER (Electronic Health Record), LIS, ambulatory, billing, inventory management, online pharmacy, and app-based solutions such as Aadi, Namah, Patient CARE, and Aham.
These solutions are tailored to meet the specific needs of the hospital group, with user experience at the core, making them highly intuitive and requiring minimal training.
Highlighting on how technology can democratize healthcare, Dr Devi Shetty, founder and chairman of Narayana Health, said, “Technology gives rich people what they always had in a better format. But technology will give poor people what they can never dream of having, which is the beauty of technology. What it will do is democratize healthcare.”
Reportedly, the hospital has seen a revenue increase of INR 200 Cr from 2021 to 2023 and has reduced discharge time by almost 50%.
Athma’s Aadi app, a digital assistant, enables real-time communication among care team members and provides live updates on patient data through integrations with lab and radiology systems.
While its Namah app reduces the paperwork burden with streamlined digital documentation and digital shift handovers, allowing nurses to spend more time with patients. Narayana Health has saved almost three days per nurse monthly with digital documentation.
Additionally, Athma’s NH Care, one of the highest-rated hospital apps in India with a 4.8 rating and over 1.6 million downloads, allows patients to book appointments, order medicines, and access their reports anytime, anywhere. This app has eliminated lengthy hospital queues and improved the overall patient experience.
In the coming years, Narayana Health and Athma plan to expand by integrating AI and ML to personalize patient care, strengthen telemedicine platforms, and enhance the EHR system with predictive analytics to foresee and mitigate potential health issues before they become critical.
