Moreover, this move aligns with the government’s initiative to enhance the city’s health infrastructure, which has been witnessing an upswing in recent years.

Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swami of Suttur Mutt, district in-charge minister HC Mahadevappa and others were present during the inauguration.

Recently, the Karnataka government has been in the news with its range of developments in the healthcare sector. For instance, under Karnataka's ‘Arokya Mitra’ Scheme, 25 health ATMS were unveiled. These health ATMs are fully automated and offer comprehensive health screening for up to 50 parameters. Users simply stand on the machine's scale and place their palms for quick readings, including blood pressure, among other vital health metrics.

Likewise, owing to the surge of dengue cases in the state, the Karnataka health minister launched a dashboard and mobile app to track dengue cases. This app is designed to predict communicable diseases at least four weeks in advance. Additionally, the app monitors the physical well-being of healthcare workers, supervises the spread of communicable diseases and keeps track of test reports.

Just days back, the Karnataka government signed a MoU with AstraZeneca to deploy AI-based lung cancer screening technology. This technology, developed by health tech startup 'Qure.ai', is capable of screening a patient for 29 different lung diseases in a single chest X-ray. The primary goal of this initiative is to address a critical early detection challenge by identifying lung nodules, which can be precursors to lung cancer.
