Yadav, on a four-day tour to promote Madhya Pradesh as an investment hub, showcased the state's 75-acre Medical Device and Pharmaceutical Park in Ujjain.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has engaged in discussions with Daiki Arai, Director of A&D Medical, during his visit to Japan.
The company has expressed strong interest in setting up a medical device manufacturing facility in the state, potentially within this year.
Yadav, on a four-day tour to promote Madhya Pradesh as an investment hub, showcased the state's 75-acre Medical Device and Pharmaceutical Park in Ujjain. "We highlighted the advantages of establishing medical device units in Madhya Pradesh, including prime land at subsidized rates and policy relaxations to support large-scale healthcare manufacturing," Yadav shared in a post on X.
Earlier, Yadav met Japan’s Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hisashi Matsumoto, to discuss strengthening Indo-Japan cooperation in healthcare and investment.
The state government aims to attract global healthcare and pharmaceutical companies to bolster India's medical infrastructure and ensure better access to advanced medical technology.
Madhya Pradesh’s central location, skilled workforce, and streamlined regulations provide an ideal environment for healthcare manufacturers.
During a session at the Indian Embassy in Tokyo, Yadav highlighted that Madhya Pradesh exported healthcare and medical goods worth USD 92.8 million to Japan in 2023-24. He emphasized the state's potential for further collaboration with Japanese firms in the medical technology and pharmaceutical sectors.
