The hospital, now rebranded as “MGM Seven Hills Hospital,” marks MGM Healthcare’s second major acquisition this year, following their earlier purchase of MGM Malar Hospital in Adyar, Chennai.

MGM Healthcare has taken a significant step in broadening its footprint across India by acquiring Seven Hills Hospital in Visakhapatnam.

The hospital, now rebranded as “MGM Seven Hills Hospital,” marks MGM Healthcare’s second major acquisition this year, following their earlier purchase of MGM Malar Hospital in Adyar, Chennai.

This move allows MGM Healthcare to cater to the increasing healthcare demands in Visakhapatnam, a region with growing medical needs.

Moreover, the acquisition aligns with MGM Healthcare's ongoing mission to make healthcare more accessible across India, particularly in underserved areas.

Dr Prashanth Rajagopalan, Director of MGM Healthcare, said, “This acquisition represents an expansion of our footprint and reinforces our commitment to providing world-class healthcare in underserved regions. By integrating modern medical technology and advanced treatments with the longstanding legacy of Seven Hills Hospital, we are poised to offer an unparalleled healthcare experience to the people of Visakhapatnam and from the neighboring states of Telangana, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh.”

The New Hospital’s Offerings

MGM Seven Hills Hospital is now set to offer advanced medical services, including critical care units (CCUs), intensive care units (ICUs), a cath lab, a 128-slice CT scanner, a 1.5 Tesla MRI, and modular operation theaters.

The hospital will be supported by over 100 doctors and 700 healthcare professionals, providing specialized care for complex medical conditions.

Visakhapatnam, a vital healthcare hub for the eastern coast of India, presents an ideal location for MGM Healthcare to strengthen its presence. With this acquisition, MGM Healthcare intends to extend its comprehensive services to the city and patients from neighboring regions such as Telangana, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh. The hospital aims to serve as a destination for high-quality care.

Wing Commander MK Bose, CEO of MGM Seven Hills Hospital, attended the unveiling of the hospital's new logo alongside Dr Rajagopalan.

“Seven Hills has been a cornerstone of healthcare in Visakhapatnam for decades. We are honored to continue its legacy by enhancing the hospital’s services with MGM’s expertise while retaining the compassionate spirit that has defined this institution for years,” Bose stated.

In addition to providing advanced treatment options, MGM Seven Hills Hospital will focus on preventive healthcare through health camps, awareness drives, and outreach programs.

This community-focused approach is part of MGM Healthcare’s broader goal to promote healthier lifestyles and preventive care in the Visakhapatnam region.

Commenting on the hospital’s future role, Dr Rajagopalan said, “Our goal is to provide healthcare that is accessible, affordable, and comprehensive. We are excited to bring MGM’s integrated healthcare model to Visakhapatnam and expand access to critical and preventive care across the eastern region.”
