The startup claims to deliver orders within two hours, whether the customer is at home or traveling anywhere in the country.

Healthtech startup MeraDoc has partnered with travel booking giant MakeMyTrip to offer real-time healthcare services for the latter's subscribers across the country.

Per the partnership, Meradoc's digital health platform and its services will now become available 24x7 on a real-time basis to MakeMyTrip customers across India.

Beyond consultations, MeraDoc extends pathology services, personalized follow-ups, and updates to MakeMyTrip’s clientele.

Service Offerings from MeraDoc

The goal of this partnership is to provide immediate access to MeraDoc’s team of professional doctors via video and audio consultations for the travel booking company’s subscribers across the country.

Additionally, prescribed medications are delivered directly to their doorstep within two hours, whether the customer is at home or traveling anywhere in the country.

"The ground-breaking partnership will provide MakeMyTrip customers round-the-clock instant access to Meradoc's panel of qualified doctors through video and audio consultations," the company said in a statement.

The Delhi-based healthcare startup was established in 2021 by Sudhir Mathur, former CEO of Cairn India and ex-CFO of Idea Cellular; Eshaan Singh, a serial entrepreneur holding a Duke Fuqua MBA; and Adit Mathur, a distinguished physician, hospital administrator, and alumnus of IIM-C.

MeraDoc said it is committed to developing accessible healthcare solutions for a billion Indians, with a primary focus on family physician-centered care.

Sharing thoughts, Sudhir Mathur, founder & CEO, MeraDoc, said, "We have a proven network in place, with our empanelled doctors now conducting over 8,000 consultations daily, thereby having totalled over 4 million consultations nationwide since our launch."

He further noted that the personalized services are live on the MakeMyTrip platform for all domestic travelers.

“With this alliance, our integrated packages of primary and essential health services will be available to Flipkart's customers, providing them with a unique and hassle-free travel experience. At the same time, Meradoc's footprint will be further widened," CEO Mathur added.

MeraDoc focuses on providing a 24x7 holistic, tech-enabled healthcare delivery platform with family physicians as “gatekeepers'' of the entire healthcare ecosystem.

The startup offers subscribers a dedicated family doctor for round-the-clock consultation and boasts a network of over 35,000 pharmacies, 1,200 labs, and more than 100 specialists.

Additionally, the company provides ambulance services along with emergency and hospitalization support.

Besides working with e-pharmacies and renowned diagnostic chains, MeraDoc has in place partnerships with over 200,000 standalone chemists, 35,000 diagnostic labs, and 100,000 hospitals to ensure service at the earliest, available across India.

Telemedicine & Indian Healthcare

Recently, there have been several telemedicine initiatives and the Indian government has also been promoting telemedicine.

For instance, the AI-driven free mobile telemedicine clinic ‘Doctor on Wheels’, attended to nearly 13,000 patients in the Udhampur-Kathua-Doda Lok Sabha constituency of Jammu and Kashmir.

Union Minister for Science and Technology, Dr Jitendra Singh, highlighted the significance of this novel experiment, utilizing cutting-edge technology tools to provide efficient and cost-free healthcare services to the residents of these far-flung areas.

This initiative represents a leap in healthcare delivery, leveraging the latest technology to screen and investigate patients efficiently.
