This collaboration, set to launch on World Heart Day, September 29, 2024, aims to provide early detection of heart health issues through the innovative Philips HeartPrint technology.

MediBuddy, India's largest digital healthcare platform, has partnered with Philips, a global health technology leader, to improve preventive healthcare nationwide.

This collaboration, set to launch on World Heart Day, September 29, 2024, aims to provide early detection of heart health issues through the innovative Philips HeartPrint technology.

By integrating advanced AI-based triaging tools accessible via smartphones, MediBuddy seeks to make high-quality healthcare available to a broader segment of the Indian population.

The Philips HeartPrint technology offers a unique way to monitor heart health over time, contrasting with traditional methods like ECGs, which only evaluate the heart's condition.

This new approach allows users to track various indicators related to their cardiac health, potentially facilitating timely interventions and tailored health strategies.

Features of the HeartPrint Assessment

The HeartPrint assessment enables users to track critical biomarkers linked to heart disease and overall health.

Users can simply scan their fingers using their smartphone camera within the MediBuddy mobile application to obtain information regarding cardiovascular age, diabetes risk, cardio-respiratory fitness, heart rate, and stress disorder predictions. The process is user-friendly and encourages proactive monitoring of heart health.

The assessment consists of two components: the Resting Heart Assessment, which lasts five days, and the Reactive Heart Assessment, which lasts seven days. Users engage in brief daily tasks during these assessments to record their heart activity.

At the end of each period, they receive a comprehensive report outlining essential health markers, areas needing improvement, and personalized recommendations to enhance heart health.

Satish Kannan, co-founder and CEO of MediBuddy, stated, "Our partnership with Philips integrates cutting-edge HeartPrint technology into our platform, transforming preventive cardiac care. By providing accessible, advanced tools for cardiac tracking on the MediBuddy platform, we enable millions to take control of their heart health, fostering earlier detection and better outcomes for a healthier nation.”

The collaboration focuses on individual health outcomes and aims to reduce healthcare costs for users and insurers. By incorporating the Philips HeartPrint service into its platform, MediBuddy is expected to enhance access to quality healthcare while managing financial risks associated with out-of-pocket expenses.

Adarsh Holavanahalli, business venture leader at Philips, remarked, “Our health tech expertise aligns perfectly with MediBuddy's digital health platforms, allowing the development of a comprehensive consumer health continuum. This is based on out-of-hospital screening, accurate digital interventions, early diagnosis, and timely clinical care. Proactive health implies making informed decisions from all stakeholders based on longitudinal health analyses, and we believe our partnership will establish new industry standards.”
