The new hospitals will be spread across cities such Bhuj, Surendranagar, Porbandar, Upleta, Bhavnagar, and Junagadh. Maxivision, which already operates four hospitals in Rajkot, one in Jamnagar, and one in Morbi, has partnered with local ophthalmic expert Dr VV Sapovadia to oversee the expansion in the Saurashtra region.
Additionally, in 2024, the hospital network expanded further into Surat with two new facilities, in collaboration with Dr RK Sachdev, a leading ophthalmologist in the region. Plans are underway to establish two more units in Surat, with further expansions to Navsari and Bharuch. The group also aims to collaborate with prominent practitioners in Vadodara, Himmatnagar, and Mehsana.
A key project within this expansion includes the development of a state-of-the-art super specialty centre in Ahmedabad. This Greenfield project will integrate cutting-edge technology to offer advanced eye care and create a platform for local surgeons.
Dr GSK Velu, Chairman of Maxivision Super Speciality Eye Hospital, said, “Our entry into Gujarat began with a reputed partnership in Saurashtra, which has grown from four to six hospitals and will expand further. Similarly, in Surat, we are building on the strong reputation of Dr RK Sachdev. Our vision is to establish a network of 25 hospitals across Gujarat within three years, leveraging a successful partnership model and a mix of Greenfield projects in key cities like Ahmedabad.”
