This latest addition aims to improve diagnostic accuracy and reduce patient radiation exposure. Additionally, the scanner features advanced technology, including artificial intelligence (AI), to deliver precise, high-definition images.

Delhi-based Mahajan Imaging & Labs, an imaging and diagnostic service provider, has unveiled a new Dual Energy Spectral CT Scanner at its Gurugram facility.

This latest addition aims to improve diagnostic accuracy and reduce patient radiation exposure. Additionally, the scanner features advanced technology, including AI, to deliver precise, high-definition images.

The new CT scanner operates with a rapid rotation speed of 0.3 seconds, allowing quick scans without compromising image quality.

This machine's key advantage is its ability to perform ultra-low-radiation scans, making it particularly useful for preventive cardiac examinations and pediatric imaging.

Additionally, the scanner utilizes ultra-low-dose protocols to minimize radiation exposure, reducing the dose for cardiac patients by up to 85%.

AI-Enhanced Imaging for Early Disease Detection

The scanner's AI capabilities play a crucial role in early disease detection.

According to Dr Harsh Mahajan, chairman, founder, and chief radiologist at Mahajan Imaging & Labs, the scanner offers improved diagnostic accuracy and efficiency, aiming to improve patient outcomes and healthcare delivery.

“These innovations underscore our commitment to advancing healthcare through the best technology. The CT Scanner offers superior image quality with high-definition ultra-thin images and the best spatial resolution, enabling doctors to make more accurate diagnoses. This is crucial for detecting and analyzing even the smallest details in the body,” the chairman noted.

He further added that the scanner's automated post-processing feature ensures quick and accurate diagnoses, aiding doctors in making prompt medical decisions.

Additionally, this machine requires a lesser quantity of intravenous contrast injection, enhancing patient safety. The AI-driven software also facilitates early identification of conditions such as cardiovascular diseases.

Advanced Capabilities for Comprehensive Diagnostics

Dr Shelly Mahajan, lab director and clinical lead, explained that the scanner offers advanced oncology tracking tools for monitoring and analyzing tumor progression. It also supports sophisticated CT-guided procedures such as biopsies and FNACs, providing comprehensive diagnostic insights. This functionality helps doctors better understand disease progression and assess the effectiveness of treatments.

The scanner's advanced features extend to oncology as well, providing tools for tracking and analyzing tumors, thus offering valuable insights into disease progression and treatment effectiveness.

Additionally, its capability to perform CT-guided procedures enhances diagnostic accuracy and treatment planning, per Dr Mahajan.

Founded in 1988 by Dr Harsh Mahajan, Mahajan Imaging & Labs operates a network of high-end diagnostic centers across India, integrating various diagnostic technologies such as radiology, PET CT, nuclear medicine, genomics, and pathology.

The network comprises ten centers and two labs in Delhi NCR, with additional facilities in prominent hospitals, including Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Fortis Hospital, and PSRI Hospital.
