The ACC will award 'Digital Pioneer' certificates to cardiologists adopting Lupin’s Remote Cardiac Rehab and Digital Heart Failure clinic solution.

Lupin Digital Health, an evidence-based cardiology digital therapeutics (DTx) platform, and the American College of Cardiology (ACC), the global scientific leader in cardiology practice, have partnered to launch the first-ever digital therapeutics certificate for cardiologists.

As per the collaboration, the ACC will award 'Digital Pioneer' certificates to cardiologists adopting Lupin’s Remote Cardiac Rehab and Digital Heart Failure clinic solutions, recognising their commitment to innovation and patient-centred healthcare. This initiative is crucial for ensuring high-quality care and enhancing outcomes within the convenience of patients' homes.

Talking about this initiative, Sidharth Srinivasan, CEO, Lupin Digital Health, said, "The collaboration with the American College of Cardiology marks a transformative milestone in remote cardiac rehabilitation. A growing number of doctors and cardiac institutes are acknowledging Remote Cardiac Rehab as a foundational pillar in making cardiac care more accessible. We are sure that this initiative will further encourage the healthcare fraternity to better understand and utilise technology-led Cardiac Rehab."

Unveiled during the platinum jubilee celebration event of the Cardiology Society of India (CSI) in Kolkata, this collaboration aims to encourage the integration of advanced digital solutions in cardiology.

Lyfe Platform: Remote Cardiac Rehabilitation Program

Developed by Lupin Digital Health, Lyfe is a clinically proven remote cardiac rehabilitation program. Addressing the underutilisation of cardiac rehabilitation, Lyfe is trusted by over 450 cardiologists with patients across 250 towns and cities in India.

Highlighting the broader impact of this initiative, Ami Bhatt, MD & chief innovation officer, ACC, said, "The ACC is proud to recognise cardiologists who are pioneering digital therapeutics adaptation in India through Lupin Digital Health's Lyfe platform. This recognition underscores our commitment to advancing digital solutions that improve patient outcomes globally."

Lupin claims that the remote cardiac rehabilitation program has demonstrated its effectiveness in enhancing heart health and improving the quality of life for cardiovascular patients.

Advancing Global Healthcare with Digital Solutions

This collaboration promises to be a significant step forward in global healthcare, aligning with the missions of both Lupin Digital Health and the American College of Cardiology to revolutionise cardiovascular patient care through innovative digital solutions.

As a global leader in transforming cardiovascular care, ACC and Lupin Digital Health, a subsidiary of Lupin Limited, a leading global pharmaceutical company, aims to reshape patient care through cutting-edge digital health solutions.

Sharing thoughts, Rajeev Sibal, president, India Region Formulations, said, "Lupin is proud to support cardiologists with our patient-centric solutions. As a pioneer in the DTx space, we are delighted to play a pivotal role in bringing this important ACC certificate to cardiologists and setting new standards in digital therapeutics."

ACC has been transforming heart health and professional medical education for over seven decades. Lupin Digital Health, a fully-owned subsidiary of Lupin Limited, focuses on developing cutting-edge digital health solutions to address unmet patient needs.

While Lyfe, their flagship product, utilises artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to deliver personalised and immersive patient experiences, tackling the challenge of effectively managing chronic diseases.

This collaborative initiative sets new standards in digital therapeutics, recognising and encouraging cardiologists to embrace technology-led solutions to enhance patient care globally.

Lupin introduced a few other patient engagement programs in the digital health space last year.

In October, Lupin introduced 'Humrahi', a patient support program to help patients with diabetes management, focusing on adherence, behaviour, and transformation.

Another program is 'Jeet,' a patient support program promoting heart health. Jeet emerges as a dependable ally in cardiovascular care, offering services encompassing cost-effective medical solutions, disease counselling, medication reminders, and lifestyle guidance.
