This collaboration will offer Adventist Health patients a hassle-free, well-coordinated solution for outpatient physical therapy, prioritising quality, convenience, and in-person care.

Nashville-based Luna, an in-home physical therapy service provider, has partnered with Adventist Health Simi Valley, a nonprofit healthcare system catering to over 80 communities on the West Coast.

This collaboration will offer Adventist Health patients a hassle-free, well-coordinated solution for outpatient physical therapy, prioritising quality, convenience, and in-person care. Initially, this service will be accessible in Los Angeles and gradually expand to other regions.

Dissimilar to remote or virtual care, Luna's licenced physical therapists will deliver personalised, hands-on therapy within the comfort of the patient's home. Patients can request in-home physical therapy through the Luna app.

A licenced therapist will then be scheduled to visit the patient's residence for a 45-55 minute session and continue the in-person treatment as per the care plan.

Jennifer Swenson, president of Adventist Health Simi Valley, said, "Adventist Health Simi Valley is known for providing exceptional care and meeting patients where they are in their healthcare journey. This partnership with Luna extends our vision, offering high-quality, in-home outpatient physical therapy beyond our facility's campus."

Sharing thoughts on the same, Palak Shah, Luna's cofounder and head of clinical operations, said Luna is placed rightly to serve the need of patients seeking flexibility in outpatient services, including the choice of when and where to receive physical therapy.'œ

Our extensive team of exceptionally skilled physical therapists is committed to providing top-tier, easily accessible healthcare services throughout Ventura County and Los Angeles, catering to the well-being of Adventist Health Simi Valley patients and enhancing their quality of life," Shah added.

As part of this partnership, Adventist Health patients who clinically require physical therapy will be connected with a local Luna therapist, considering factors such as specialty, location, schedule, and more. The same therapist will oversee the entire treatment plan to ensure consistency in care. Patients and therapists will have the means to communicate and discuss care requirements between appointments.

Previously, popular health systems Providence, Emory Healthcare, Intermountain Healthcare, and Scripps Health have partnered with Luna to provide outpatient physical therapy in the patient's home.

Luna operates in 50 markets across 27 states, serving over 40,000 patients.
