The Lilavati Pharmacy project is designed to create high-quality, luxurious pharmacies that offer a wide range of medicines, and surgical and medical equipment. Under this project, 500 more pharmacy stores will be launched across the country over the next five years.

Further, the project will introduce a wellness programme with gold, silver and bronze memberships for community members. Moreover, the customers will be able to consult with healthcare professionals at the pharmacy and seek appropriate treatment recommendations.

The pharmacy chain will further offer free medical check-ups for the poor along with the facility to administer vaccines and measure blood pressure.

Sharing his views, Prashant Mehta, promoter and MD, Lilavati Hospital, said, 'œThe Lilavati Pharmacy in Ahmedabad is the first but significant step in our journey of opening 500 pharmacy stores pan-India in the next five years.'

The Lilavati Pharmacy project is spearheaded by Prashant Mehta, who is also leading Lilavati Hospital's foray into Gujarat with an advanced healthcare facility in Gujarat International Finance-tec City (GIFT City) which will set up a 300-bed advanced hospital at an estimated cost of INR 300 Cr.

The facility will have a 13-floor dedicated building in a 5.50 lakh sq ft space.  The hospital is expected to benefit from various factors including the growth in medical tourism.

Founded in 1978, Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre is a private hospital located in Mumbai. Today, they have a total of 323 beds with one of the largest Intensive Care Units (ICUs), 12 Operation Theatres with advanced facilities, over 300 consultants and a workforce of nearly 1,800 employees.

Talking about hospitals, just a few days back, the SRV hospital unveiled an AI Cath Lab in its 5th hospital in Nashik. The technology will assist healthcare professionals with intelligent imaging capabilities, advancing heart healthcare delivery and diagnostic accuracy.

In another development, Arete Hospital inaugurated its new facility in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. With this advanced medical facility, the hospital seeks to lessen the stress associated with availing hospital services and make them more trustworthy and hospitable.
