Leo Puri Appointed Chairman of Fortis Healthcare

Fortis Healthcare has appointed Leo Puri as the Chairman of its Board of Directors, effective December 27, 2024. 

Puri, who will serve as an independent and non-executive director, is expected to play a crucial role in guiding the company’s strategic direction and operations at the group level.

Puri currently serves on the boards of several leading organizations, including Tata Sons, Hindustan Unilever, and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, reflecting his vast experience and strategic insight across multiple sectors. 

His diverse background positions him to lead Fortis Healthcare through its next phase of growth and development.

Puri’s leadership experience spans over four decades. His previous roles include serving as Executive Chairman for South & Southeast Asia at JP Morgan Chase, Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, and Managing Director at UTI Asset Management Company. 

Additionally, Puri has held several board positions, including Managing Director and General Partner at Warburg Pincus.
