KareXpert Health Cloud's ABDM module is equipped with government-mandated features, a standard connector for seamless integration, zero-touch provisioning, and user-friendly adaptability for hospitals of all sizes.
In the past, Hospital Information Management Systems (HIMS) primarily focused on billing functions, often neglecting the generation of comprehensive Electronic Medical Record (EMR) data for patients. Recognising this gap, KareXpert took proactive steps to engage with the ABDM team to facilitate the certification journey.
The journey towards ABDM certification involves overcoming various challenges, including ensuring that hospitals have the necessary EMR capabilities, obtaining the ABHA ID (national Healthcare ID), and seamlessly integrating with the ABDM ecosystem.
KareXpert Health Cloud's ABDM module has been designed to encompass all the government-mandated features. It offers a standard ABDM connector for smooth integration, a zero-touch provisioning process, and a user-friendly experience tailored to hospitals of all sizes.
Sharing thoughts on the integration, Nidhi Jain, founder & CEO of KareXpert, said, "We are thrilled to be part of India's healthcare revolution through our ABDM certification. This milestone solidifies our commitment to fostering a paperless, efficient, and patient-centric healthcare ecosystem. With ABDM compliance, hospitals can not only enhance patient care but also tap into valuable financial incentives, setting the stage for a more digital and connected healthcare future."
The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) is a transformative initiative aimed at digitising and streamlining India's healthcare system. It emphasises creating a seamless and patient-centric experience while also addressing the need for comprehensive and easily accessible electronic health records.
KareXpert's approach to ABDM certification aligns with the broader goal of leveraging technology to enhance healthcare services across India. This move is expected to be pivotal in ushering in a more digitally connected and efficient healthcare future, benefitting patients and healthcare providers alike.
Established in 2018 by Nidhi Jain, KareXpert is a technology platform with a patient-centric approach aimed at transforming 'Patient Continuity' into a tangible reality within the Indian healthcare system.
They have developed a patented 'Advanced Health Cloud Technology Stack' that serves as the connecting link between patients and all healthcare providers, including hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, doctors, pharmacy shops, diagnostic labs, imaging centres, blood banks, organ banks, and ambulance services, operable on various smart devices and accessible through both mobile and web applications.
In significant recent developments this year, both Practo, an integrated healthcare firm, and MyDigiRecords, a global digital health platform, also announced their alignment with the ABDM.
In May, Practo revealed that its practice management software, Ray, had achieved full compliance with ABDM's requirements. Subsequently, in July, MyDigiRecords said that it had received certification for seamless integration with the ABDM.
According to the National Health Authority (NHA), over 100 health programs and apps were recently integrated and became ABDM-compliant.
