The partnership seeks to leverage innovative solutions from one region to tackle issues facing another, enhancing science-based entrepreneurship, research, and businesses within their ecosystems
In a significant development for healthcare innovation, the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms, India's leading science and technology innovation hub, has officially partnered with PariSanté Campus, a prominent digital health innovation cluster in France.
This collaboration, known as the Indo French Life Sciences Sister Innovation Hub, aims to address challenges in the healthcare sector through bilateral innovation.
Dr Taslimarif Saiyed, director-CEO, C-CAMP, said, “We are delighted to have our LoI with PariSanté Campus to be formalised by the highest leadership of the two countries. This clearly indicates the urgency of intent between the two countries to improve the quality and delivery of healthcare for the larger society. The partnership’s first goal would be to galvanise global networks of excellence and leverage mutual ecosystems to support researchers and innovators developing cutting-edge solutions from one geography to the other. C-CAMP and PariSanté Campus will play the central role in enabling this.”
During discussions, both parties identified two key focus areas: One Health and Digital Health Technologies. The partnership seeks to leverage innovative solutions from one region to tackle issues facing another, enhancing science-based entrepreneurship, research, and businesses within their ecosystems.
"The Letter of Intent between C-CAMP and PariSanté Campus for Indo-French Life Sciences Sister Innovation Hub will bring together the best of innovation hubs from our two countries to work together on two very important areas: One Health and Digital health. This partnership will pave the way for groundbreaking innovations. Indeed, the French government that I represent is very proud to see the emergence of such a collaboration and we will keep on supporting the scientific and academic cooperation between our two countries," Mark Lamy, Consul General of France stated.
This collaboration was formally announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Emmanuel Macron at the Paris AI Summit, underscoring the importance of this international effort.
The Letter of Intent was signed by Dr Saiyed and Pr Antoine Tesnière, director of PariSanté Campus.
The agreement marks a pivotal step in fostering deeper cooperation between the two countries, breaking barriers to address critical healthcare challenges aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The partnership particularly aims to improve healthcare access and equity, impacting not only the Global North but also the Global South. Initial initiatives under this agreement will be revealed shortly.
