Minister Sridhar Babu praised Telangana’s leadership in vaccine production, generics, and biosimilars, extending an invitation to Belgium’s life sciences community.
The Indo-Belgian Life Sciences Conference, inaugurated in Hyderabad on Tuesday, highlighted the potential for India and Belgium to collaborate on addressing global healthcare challenges.
The event, attended by dignitaries and industry leaders, emphasized the fusion of expertise between the two nations in life sciences.
Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu, delivering the keynote address, remarked, “While India and Belgium are individually strong in life sciences, it is in the fusion of our expertise that the true potential lies.”
He also pointed out Hyderabad’s prominence as India’s life sciences hub, citing its infrastructure, vibrant startup ecosystem, and favorable government policies.
The conference, themed ‘Strengthening the Indo-Belgian Life Sciences Corridor: Unlocking the Future of Healthcare Together,’ also saw participation from Didier Vanderhasselt, Ambassador of Belgium to India.

This conference marks a significant step in strengthening the Indo-Belgian collaboration to foster innovation and develop affordable healthcare solutions on a global scale.
