Healthtech startup What's Up Wellness has raised INR 14.4 Cr in seed funding led by Unilever Ventures, the VC arm of FMCG giant Unilever. This investment is also Unilever's first bet into the health and wellness sector.
As per the startup, the fresh funding will enable them to grow and expand their business. The startup plans to expand its team, and create new innovative products.
What's Up Wellness claims to have already served more than 250,000 customers and sold more than 400,000 packs of their popular gummy products, resulting in unprecedented 12x growth within a year.

Headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana, What's Up Wellness was born in 2020 and was founded by Sayantani Mandal and Vaibhav Makhija. It offers wellness supplements such as biotin gummies and multivitamins through its digital platform. These products are tailored to promote hair growth, enhance skin radiance, and fortify nails.
"What's Up Wellness has experienced rapid growth over the past year from a business perspective. The company has achieved this by prioritizing customers, understanding their needs, and developing relevant, in-demand wellness products," said Sayantani Mandal and Vaibhav Makhija.
Boasting an array of gummy supplements, What's Up Wellness enjoys over 250,000 users in India. Further, it plans to launch 12 new products within the upcoming two years.
What's Up Wellness had previously secured angel funding in 2022 from cofounders of Sirona Hygiene, and Clovia.
Additionally, it secured INR 60 Lakh funding during its participation in the popular Shark Tank India Season 2 show. Aman Gupta of BoAt, Vineeta Singh of SUGAR Cosmetics, and Anupam Mittal of Shaadi.com funded this amount.
The founders also further said that they will come up with more products matching the consumers' demand in the wellness segment.
Herbalife, Indus Health Plus, and HealthifyMe etc are a few healthtech, wellness focussed startups operating in this space in India.
