The newly launched AI therapy tool, Helo, is designed to engage users in real-time conversations to assess their mental health and recommend appropriate tests.

Infiheal, a healthtech startup, has introduced an AI-driven platform designed to address significant gaps in mental health awareness and access.

The newly launched AI therapy tool, Helo, is designed to engage users in real-time conversations to assess their mental health and recommend appropriate tests.

“Helo interacts with users, evaluates their condition, and suggests relevant assessments. This helps individuals understand their mental health status and take necessary actions,” said Founder Srishti Srivastava.

She highlighted the challenges faced due to societal and cultural norms that often delay intervention. “Currently, mental health awareness in India is highly curative—people seek help only when things deteriorate significantly. Structured psychological self-development isn’t culturally ingrained; instead, spiritual growth takes precedence,” she noted.

Srivastava identified a major hurdle as the lack of awareness surrounding mental health issues, with many individuals attributing their struggles to temporary factors.

“Indian users often assume their mental health struggles are fleeting, believing their emotional state will improve in a few days. However, the issue persists.”

Infiheal aims to tackle this problem by providing tools such as self-assessments and psychometric tests to encourage early recognition of mental health conditions.

“One of the best ways to approach mental well-being is through self-assessments, personality tests, and psychometric evaluations. These tools provide valuable insights and identify potential concerns early,” she explained.

In an effort to further encourage usage, Infiheal offers a free introductory phase to users.

“When users first join the platform, it’s free. This enables them to explore the product and understand its value before making a financial commitment.”

This strategy aims to remove financial barriers, fostering a proactive approach to mental health.

Significantly, Infiheal supports multiple Indian languages and integrates therapist support for crisis situations. “Our platform supports multiple Indian languages, integrates therapist support, and connects users with crisis helplines in cases of suicidal tendencies or psychotic breakdowns. This makes Infiheal one of the most comprehensive mental health solutions available,” she added.

Infiheal, initially launched as a mindfulness platform in 2019, transitioned to an AI-driven approach in 2022, recognizing the technology's potential for a broader impact. “We started in 2019 with the goal of building a mindfulness app. But by 2022, we shifted focus to AI-powered therapy, seeing its potential for greater impact,” Srivastava explained.

Moving forward, Infiheal aims to invest in research and innovative technologies.

“We continuously experiment with emerging technologies to assess their applicability,” she concluded, indicating a commitment to staying ahead in the evolving landscape of mental health solutions.
