Bengaluru-based HealthPlix Technologies, a provider of AI-powered EMR software, has introduced a new solution called H.A.L.O.

This tool aims to streamline doctor-patient interactions by converting verbal conversations into digital prescriptions. H.A.L.O, the first of its kind in India, enables doctors to generate prescriptions without the need to type or write.

The AI listens to the conversation between doctor and patient, summarizing it into a structured prescription.

Currently, H.A.L.O supports English and Hindi, with plans to expand to five additional languages within the next six months.

Established in 2014 and headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka, HealthPlix is a digital health platform that harnesses the power of AI technologies to assist in clinical decision-making through an EMR platform for creating detailed patient profiles and efficient prescription writing.

Chaitanya Raju, executive director of HealthPlix Technologies, said, "Our AI model, trained on data from over 100 million consultations within HealthPlix EMR, surpasses any generic transcription tool currently available. Its seamless integration with various EMR systems further enhances its utility, making it an indispensable tool for healthcare providers."

AI-Driven Healthcare Efficiency

India faces a significant healthcare challenge, with only seven doctors available for every 10,000 people.

In this context, the efficient use of doctors’ time is crucial for improving access to healthcare. Digital technologies, such as H.A.L.O., are essential for optimizing doctors' time and enabling them to see more patients.

HealthPlix initially gained attention with its EMR, which can generate a digital prescription in 30 seconds. This innovation saw adoption rates rise from 0 to 4%, and the company is now targeting 40% adoption over the next 1-2 years.

H.A.L.O's provides detailed transcripts of consultations aids patients in remembering and following critical medical advice, thus supporting better adherence to treatment recommendations.

Commenting on the same, Sandeep Gudibanda, co-founder & CEO of HealthPlix Technologies, said, "H.A.L.O is set to enhance the efficiency of doctors and improve patient care. Our early adopters are already seeing the benefits of optimizing their time with this tool, allowing them to attend to more patients. We are excited about driving further adoption and refining H.A.L.O to expand its impact across the healthcare industry, ultimately improving patient outcomes and provider workflows."

In a related development, HealthPlix also introduced an offline version of its Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. This hybrid EMR system is designed to cater to doctors who face connectivity challenges, particularly in remote areas.

The offline system allows for seamless transitions between online and offline modes, ensuring uninterrupted access to patient data regardless of internet connectivity.

The offline EMR system not only addresses the connectivity issues but also improves the speed of access by 48% compared to previous versions. This enhancement is crucial for doctors working in areas with unreliable internet connections, allowing them to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
