Following discussions, eight to ten CEOs agreed to visit Himachal Pradesh to evaluate the existing healthcare and medical device ecosystem.
Himachal Pradesh Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan has invited global medical device companies to invest in the state during a recent event, held in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Chauhan led an Indian delegation that engaged in discussions with industry experts and key stakeholders, assuring them of a favorable environment for innovation and manufacturing. He emphasized Himachal’s potential as a hub for advanced medical technology and highlighted state-backed initiatives for investors.
The delegation visited the Indian Pavilion and explored exhibitions from countries such as Japan, Israel, and South Korea to foster strategic collaborations. Meetings were held with prominent firms, including Skanray Technologies, Sahajanand Laser Technology Limited (SLTL), ENVOMED, ATLASense BIOMED, QinFLOW, EFA Med Tech, Accuscience, and Rephael.
Skanray Technologies expressed interest in setting up a manufacturing plant in the upcoming medical devices park in Nalagarh. Representatives from Rephael and ATLASense BIOMED also showed intent to invest in Himachal.
Chauhan proposed the establishment of a dedicated, sector-specific medical devices zone in the state to strengthen infrastructure and attract investment in cutting-edge healthcare solutions.
"Himachal Pradesh is committed to creating an ecosystem that supports medical innovation and manufacturing," Chauhan said during the discussions.
He also invited sector leaders to collaborate with the government in forming a State Healthcare Advisory to drive advancements in manufacturing and innovation.
