The newly acquired capital will be strategically used to expand MidiHealth's operations across the entire United States, with a goal of establishing a presence in all 50 states by January 2024.
Moreover, the fund will also be used to forge new partnerships with the country's largest hospital systems as well as major US employers.
Founded in 2021, the California-based startup offers virtual care guided by a network of nurse practitioners overseen by physicians and researchers. MidiHealth also provides a comprehensive range of interventions from lifestyle coaching to prescription medication.
Last year, Midi Health raised $14 million in seed funding to offer expert care and hormonal and non-hormonal medications, supplements, lifestyle coaching, and vital preventative health guidance for women experiencing menopause.
With this funding, MidiHealth sought to support women with expert care and offer services such as telehealth visits, simplified testing, and home delivery of prescriptions and supplements.
Recently, MidiHealth formed a strategic partnership with Progyny, a leader in fertility benefits. This collaboration is aimed at extending midlife care solutions to employers throughout the United States, and to expand access to their specialised healthcare services.
In another development, the Gurgaon-based health-tech startup Clinikally secured $2.6 million in funding. The startup utilised the funds to strengthen its telehealth technology and upgrade omnichannel capabilities through collaborations with offline clinics.
Likewise, another health-tech platform, FlexifyMe secured $1 million in funding led by Flipkart Ventures, Flipkart's investing arm. The platform dedicated to chronic pain management utilised the funds to further enhance the AI motion coach, making it available in local languages. Moreover, this also enabled the startup to expand its reach in the MENA and North American regions.
