The chief minister noted Rajasthan achieving the top position in various health parameters during the "Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra" and converting over 10,000 wellness centers into Ayushman Arogya Mandirs.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, speaking in a pre-budget meeting earlier on Tuesday, said good health for the people of Rajasthan remains a top priority. He convened a pre-budget meeting on Tuesday, emphasizing that the upcoming budget would address immediate needs.
The chief minister also noted that Rajasthan had achieved top position in various health parameters during the "Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra" and had converted over 10,000 wellness centers into Ayushman Arogya Mandirs.
Highlighting the state government's commitment to health, Sharma mentioned significant strides made in the health sector during his six months in office, which included expanding and strengthening healthcare services across the state.
"We are working towards realizing the concept of 'Ayushman Rajasthan' by enhancing health services," Sharma said.
He also highlighted that it would include a long-term roadmap for the next five years, aiming for a prosperous Rajasthan by 2047.
Representatives from the health sector and medical institutions were in attendance, setting the stage for a budget focused on health and development.
The meeting took place at his office in Jaipur, where Sharma outlined the state government's vision for a "Developed Rajasthan-2047."
"If the action plan is made keeping future demands in mind, there will be proper allocation of resources, and the vision can also be fulfilled," Sharma stated.
He assured that the suggestions from health experts would be taken into consideration to formulate a public welfare-oriented budget.
Deputy CM and Finance Minister Diya Kumari, who also addressed the meeting, reiterated the state government's commitment to inclusive governance and development.
"The basis of democracy is good governance, and we are ensuring participation from every section, which will reinforce the concept of 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas'," Kumari said.
She highlighted the government's efforts to make health services robust, accessible, and sensitive, ensuring that health remains at the forefront of the state's development agenda.
Kumari underscored the government's achievements in health service innovation and promised to ensure that these services are available to the general public.
"We are moving towards a stronger, more accessible, and sensitive health system," she added, assuring that there would be no shortage of financial resources to achieve a healthy and prosperous Rajasthan.
The state government is set to present its budget in the second week of July. The budget is expected to reflect the administration's commitment to improving health infrastructure and services, aligning with the long-term vision for the state's development and welfare.
Rajasthan has been leveraging digital technologies to enhance healthcare delivery, improve maternal and child health outcomes, and build a robust digital health ecosystem.
Recently, the Rajasthan education department announced that a comprehensive digital health survey of all students enrolled in government schools across the state will commence this August.
Similarly, last month, the Rajasthan government announced the transition of its healthcare delivery system to a fully online health management platform under the initiative "Integrated Health Management System 2.0."
